New HTM 01-05 and Sharps Instruments in Healthcare Regulations
The DH has released the 2013 edition of Health Technical Memorandum 01-05: Decontamination in primary care dental practices. At the same time HSE has released the Sharps Instruments in Healthcare Regulations 2013. These two releases bring a number of connected new requirements. The good news is that CODE has already updated the management modules, and in particular the modules in the infection prevention and control section to take into account of these two new requirements. Read all about them and see how CODE is helping members here.

Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults and Mental Capacity Act

iCOMPLY - Practice management and compliance automatically

iCOMPLY is now in beta testing. It automatically schedules compliance and essential practice management in an online calendar. You can use it on a PC, iPad or tablet.
Your year of activities are listed in a calendar/scheduler with a daily email to remind you of the tasks that need to be done to stay compliant and perform your essential practice management tasks. The CODE modules are built right in and you can access them from the relevant activity. For example if you are working on the safe use of x-rays, the relevant modules are linked to the activity you are working with. Work can be delegated to team members and they will each have their own dashboard and email reminders. You can also print off a compliance report at any time/ You can read more here.
