Course Standards

CODE Academy aims to set and maintain high standards for hands-on training in facial aesthetic techniques for doctors, dentists, registered nurses, dental hygienists and dental therapists.

  • There is a maximum of 8 hands-on delegates per trainer and up to 4 staff members who can attend to observe
  • At least one full day is spent on each technique, the minimum hours being 9 am to 5.00 pm

  • Foundation courses in botulinum toxin or dermal fillers each last a complete day

  • Every hands-on day includes the science and theory of the procedure, demonstrations by the trainer and each delegate is given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience

  • Training is only held in suitable clinical facilities such as dental practices or medical clinics

  • Training is given by a suitably trained practitioner who is known to CODE Academy

  • CODE Academy holds medical malpractice indemnity insurance for treatments undertaken which also covers the delegates who will not yet have their own insurance. This has been arranged through Medical Malpractice insurance brokers, Hamilton Fraser Insurance

  • Course participants are provided with support materials including consent forms, patient aftercare instructions, marketing guidelines and legal and indemnity advice

  • Delegates are required to complete a self-assessment test at the end of the training day before their certificates are issued by the trainer

  • Each delegate is provided with a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

  • Practitioners who have completed the CODE Academy courses are given the continuing support of the companies who provide the treatment materials

  • Delegates have the opportunity to give feedback on the quality of the course and whether its training aims and objectives have been achieved by completing a form

  • Hamilton Fraser Insurance recognises and supports the standards provided by CODE Academy.  Medical malpractice insurance can be considered on presentation of a valid CODE Academy training certificate to Hamilton Fraser (subject to terms and conditions). Course participants receive 10% off insurance premiums
