The pre-inspection compliance check helps you to prepare for your first Care Quality Commission inspection and set up all of the necessary policies, procedures, risk assessments, audits and training. It takes place at a one day practice visit by a CODE consultant who will conduct a gap analysis of compliance and the availability of 'evidence' for the 28 outcomes in Essential Standards of Quality and Safety from the Care Quality Commission.
After the gap analysis you will be given the results in an action plan identifying:
- Any missing procedures, policies, risk assessments and audits
- Sources of appropriate solutions - providing examples from the CODE Management Modules- 'practice in a box' and Clinical Governance Made Simple so that you will know how to set everything up
- Your strengths and weaknesses
- Your staff training needs with suggestions of how to do it
- Any remedial actions needed following concerns from the CQC
You will also be provided with the questions asked in recent inspections of CODE members so that you will be prepared for yours.
You can purchase extra days of CODE Assure consultancy if you want to have help setting up procedures, training the team or creating the CODE Assure management system. Please refer to (M 203) Organising your management system, for details of how to set it up yourself if you haven’t done so.
The cost of the pre-inspection compliance check special offer for CODE members is only £565* (plus VAT).
The cost of the pre-inspection compliance check special offer for non-members is £595* (plus vat).
*In addition to this fee consultant’s travel expenses up to a maximum of £100 are payable.
