The hand-holding service leads you through the set up of compliance including procedures, risk assessments, audits policies and a team training schedule. This prepares you for the CQC inspection.
The set-up usually takes 3 days at the practice. Initially the consultant will conduct a gap analysis of compliance and the availability of 'evidence' for each of the 28 CQC outcomes. The consultant will then work through the action plan with you putting everything into place including:
- A comprehensive management system in folders
-Any missing procedures, policies, risk assessments and audits using the
CODE Management Modules- 'practice in a box' and Clinical Governance Made Simple
- Staff training needs with an action plan
- Other activities such as fire drills and practice of medical emergencies needed to become compliant
Following the 3 days of support, the consultant will provide support by phone or email for one month.
The cost of hand-holding is £260 per month for 12 months or £2,780 (plus VAT). You will also need to be a member of CODE and subscribe to Clinical Governance Made Simple. This covers the 3 days and the month of support.
