Every primary dental care provider in England has to register with the Care Quality Commission. After registration practices will be inspected and will be expected to meet essential standards of quality and safety. Registered providers have a public 'risk profile' maintained by the CQC, which is based on a number of sources including the GDC, the PCT, patients and your submitted documentation. If there are concerns about the practice the CQC will contact you for information, may impose conditions or may carry out an inspection. Now CODE can give you personal support at the practice for CQC registration and compliance with the regulations and legislation that applies to dentistry.

CODE Assure gives you support at the practice and by telephone or by email to lead you through the application process, to help you with ongoing compliance, to carry out practice health checks and provide accreditation. Assure level 1 The pre-inspection compliance check helps you to prepare for your first Care Quality Commission inspection and set up all of the necessary policies, procedures, risk assessments, audits and training. It takes place at a one day practice visit by a CODE consultant who will conduct a gap analysis of compliance and the availability of 'evidence' for the 28 outcomes in Essential Standards of Quality and Safety from the Care Quality Commission.

The cost of the pre-inspection compliance check special offer is £595 (plus vat). CODE members have a discounted price of £565 (plus vat).

Assure level 2 leads you step-by-step to set up all of the compliance at the practice. The consultant will spend 3 days in the practice helping you to put all of the procedures, risk assessments, policies, training and action plans in place to achieve compliance.

You can purchase additional consultancy from a CODE compliance consultant to supplement any CODE Assure service. It is provided on a day-rate basis, the cost is £695 per day for non-members and £635 for members (plus VAT).
